Is This is OK to Rejoice during Lent?

In this season of reflection, our coming Sunday service falls on the Laetare Sunday, which means “rejoice”, intertwined with International Women’s Day, holds a special place. God gives us an extra opportunity to REJOICE! Do not miss it!
We extend our deepest gratitude to Sue Shineman and Pat Bounds, whose leadership and dedication have been the cornerstone of our gathering. Their efforts, together with the invaluable work of our planning group, have woven a tapestry of community and reflection.
Our heartfelt thanks also go to our United Women of Faith led by Pat Gerdtz, and the members of our UWF circles, whose spirited participation add warmth and unity.
The collaboration with the American Association of University Women (AAUW) deepens the meaning of our gathering, emphasizing the crucial themes of empowerment, education, and equality.
As we navigate the halfway mark of Lent during this week, the joint celebration with International Women’s Day serves as a beacon of hope and a reminder of the power of community. Allow yourself to get inspired by this event to embrace the remaining Lenten journey ahead with renewed commitment. Together, we continue our path towards Easter, enriched by the fresh air of trying new things together and by the shared goal of uplifting every voice in our midst.
