This season, as we reflect on the Epiphany and the Kansas City Chiefs’ inspiring victory, I’m reminded of the power of unity, both in our faith and our families. Celebrating New Year’s Eve, my family, spread across different states, came together as a team to celebrate our unity and love for each other. Despite the distance, our bond remains strong, symbolizing the essence of teamwork and shared vision.
The Chiefs’ journey to success wasn’t just about individual talent, or all players have the same views on life, but a collective effort, mirroring the spirit of a strong family. This unity and resilience in face of challenges is what we strive to embody in our congregation, both online and in the sanctuary.
As we approach 2024, let’s draw from these experiences. How can we, like my family and the Chiefs, come together despite our differences to achieve a common goal? How do we welcome new members and learn to serve our Lord together for the common purpose to make NEW disciples for Jesus Christ? Are we ready to practice hospitality to the strangers?
Let’s aim to continue building united family with the determination of a winning team. In this season of new beginnings, our shared goals and the wisdom of Epiphany can guide us.
Together, let’s make 2024 a year of spiritual growth, community bonding, and a commitment to collective achievement. #epiphany #NewGoals
